Biography

 

Richard Carboni lives and works in Montclair, New Jersey. He holds a Master of Fine Arts Degree in Painting from Pratt Institute and a Bachelor of Arts in Painting from Hunter College.

His work has been shown in numerous solo and group exhibitions throughout the United States and is included in many public, corporate and private collections, including The Brooklyn Museum and The Princeton University Art Museum. A survey of his work was shown at the Butler Institute of American Art in 1986.

He has been the recipient of grants and fellowships from The Ariana Foundation for the Arts, Ford Foundation and Pratt Institute.

Articles and reviews of his work have appeared in leading publications including Art in America, Artnews, Arts Magazine, Museums & Art, The New York Times, The Washington Times, Dialogue Magazine, The Print Collectors Newsletter, among others.
